DREAMCATCHER DOGS IN HARNESS

Click on the photographs above to see short videos of our team participating in the 15 mile AMWA Salisbury Trek on 3rd January 2010 (left) and our team running in the snow on 12th January 2010 (right)

From 1994, we raced our dogs regularly, but a combination of Terry's illness and a growing disillusionment with the UK's obsession with short-distance sprint-racing led us to gradually drop our involvement.

Now that I am a gentleman of leisure , having taken early retirement back in July 2007, we decided to get back into working our dogs much more regularly for fun and exercise.

Our views on sprint-racing are well known, so we will not be getting obsessive about it - just having fun and exercising the dogs, maybe doing a few rallies.

In February 2009, for the first time in London since 1962, we had enough snow to sled on. We took immediate advantage and had a glorious day out in our local park:

Although we are not particularly into the sprint racing culture, an opportunity to brag is an opportunity not to be missed and we would like to congratulate our friend Stuart Parker for finishing 3rd overall in the BSHRA Two dog championship series with two young Dreamcatcher-related bitches running in their first racing season. Issi (Dreamcatcher The Attorney) and Amber (Matoskah's Ute/Chrystelle mating) did brilliantly for Stuart all season.

Stuart also came first in the 1 dog scooter class with his rescue boy Digger and his partner Gemma came 3rd in the same class. Well done guys!!!

At the end of the 2008/9 season, our 16yr old son Jayson started his racing career at Buttersteep:

He beat my 4 dog time with his 2 dogs, so this year, HE will be doing the racing and I'll be doing the training!!
