Callie,
Ezzie and Hope

Callie
(above)
was
the beautiful young female we were keeping from Asti's final mating.. She was a
happy, lovable and loving baby. Spoilt rotten - especially by Terry and Jason,
both of whom decided from day one that she was the puppy we should keep from the
litter. At about 7 weeks we noticed that not only was she not gaining as much
weight as her siblings, but she was constantly wet round her back end (something
we hadn't noticed while her mum was still cleaning her up). She was not
suffering in any obvious way and was still the nutty, loving pup we had come to
adore, but we thought we'd better get her checked over by the vet. The vet
confirmed our darkest suspicions - she had a major and inoperable internal
plumbing problem (Ectopic Ureter) which would result in a very short time in
complete kidney failure and a great deal of pain and discomfort. Eight short
weeks after she was born, Callie returned to the Rainbow Bridge leaving a
distraught family and only memories and thoughts of what might have been.
Goodbye
Callie - you have left us wonderful memories but an empty space in our lives
where you should have been! Sleep Well!!!
Ezzie and Hope were
two puppies from Chrystelle's first lotter sired by the same imported dog. Like
Callie, they were born with Ectopic Ureter and went to the Rainbow Bridge at
only two weeks of age. Coming only a couple of weeks after Callie's death, this
was a really hard blow for us to take.
